Bridal Session: Andrada and John, Richmond, VA
For Andrada and John’s one-year wedding anniversary, we had the pleasure of returning to the elegance of Downtown Richmond, Virginia for a bridal portrait session. Rather than a traditional anniversary portrait approach, they chose to revisit the formality and emotion of their wedding attire, creating imagery that honored their marriage while also offering a refined, editorial perspective on their first year together. Andrada’s gown was subtly altered to feel fresh and newly interpreted, maintaining its original significance while allowing for a renewed sense of presence in front of the camera.
John arrived in a classic navy tuxedo even under the intensity of a day that exceeded ninety degrees Fahrenheit. Andrada complemented the look with a custom cathedral-length veil, alongside pearl and crystal encrusted shoes and sheer gloves detailed with pearls. The portraits were photographed at the Virginia State Capitol, an architectural landmark defined by its white Georgian façade, marble steps, and Doric columns.
Despite the intensity of the heat, Andrada and John remained composed, gracious, and fully engaged throughout the session. We were thrilled to help them re-create their wedding memories, and celebrate their anniversary! Congratulations, you two.
